Re: 2016 Summer Tour to South Africa.
Did anyone catch the lions playing the bulls at the weekend? Crikey. The speed of them. Like Connacht on x4 fast forward. Glad there ain't more of those fellas in the squad.

Re: Pro12 Final
Agree that leinster are better set up but only in the forwards, the backs are still going to be the same. We have healy, Josh, conan, sob all fighting for places. What backs have we got to look forward to seeing? Byrne?!! Maybe carberry or hope that mick mcgrath finds form again? We need pace despe...

Re: Pro12 Final
All of that said, I do think leinster are in a good enough place for next year though. Much better platform than the start of this season.

Re: Pro12 Final
You would think that Connacht's 2-4-2 formation was something they unveiled on Saturday - they've been playing this format all season and showed to huge effect in the two Glasgow games - did nobody in Leinster even look at the tapes of the Glasgow games because we looked like rabbits caught in the ...

Re: Pro12 Final
Congrats to Connacht. The two things that stood out.. All the Connacht players passed the ball much better than us. All the Connacht backs had pace. Matt Healy may be poor defensively but he proved one thing yesterday. Namely that Noel Reid should be given an extended run on the wing. Use his pace ...

Re: Pro12 Final
Agree about Owens, the lack of breakdown penalties against Connacht was incredible really. He did let it go generally, but I felt there was a disparity. I like him a lot, has been the best ref around post-Rolland, but he does tend towards the emotional. The better team won, but....some penalties go ...

Re: 2016 Summer Tour to South Africa.
Ruddock did play 7 at short notice as part of a winning team against the bins before too, but whatever about stander it's definitely hard to see Ruddock as a 7 on an ongoing basis.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour to South Africa.
Who is going to play 7 in South Africa? Great choice at 6 with Stander, Ruddock, and Henderson but none of them are 7's and Murphy and Reidy not good enough at this level. Could stander play 7? Squat, strong and hard to move off the ball. Obviously you'd like your 7 to be arriving at rucks rather t...

Re: 2016 Summer Tour to South Africa.
Kearney has to be in the mix and jordi murphy did himself no harm. I completely forgot about him there. Presumably the squad will be named after the pro 12 final?

Re: Has there been a change to the laws of the scrum / direc
Certainly seems that way watching the super rugby and Clancy also got a bit of grief in the challenge cup final after he called 'use it.' Today that young referee, i think he did Ireland-Italy (and I think he is very good) clearly said: 'ball at the back of scrum and scrum not moving; use it.' Like ...

Re: Successful first year for Leo?
Not going to say everything is perfect for Leinster, but it does all look promising. I also think henshaw will be an upgrade on Te'o for next season and a lot of kids have really had strong seasons, where they should kick on in the next. Unfortunately the Madigan situation was just too far gone, but...

Re: 2016 Summer Tour to South Africa.
Guys I think are unlucky so far are Buckley, Ronaldson, Fitz. The only player I think has no right to be there is Ferg. Baffling. Madigan shouldn't really be there on form but the options aren't great. By season's end I think Mick Kearney will look like an omission. I'd expect DK and Ferg to tumble...

Re: Semi Final: Leinster vs Ulster Fri May 20th K/O 19:45
Really enjoyed that. Pretty good quality game as is the norm with these 2. Leinster did an impressive job of turning Trimble and keeping him occupied under kicks. They got success out of that and he had a tough old night dealing with it. Ulster ran some smart moves too. Gilroy's second try reminded ...

Re: Pro 12 - General Thread
Yeah prl are definitely more marriage material, though the in laws would be a nightmare. Still, it's good to at least be seen flirting with someone good looking and a bit exotic in the meantime. It is a bit out there and at the end of the day pro 12 needs to focus on keeping the pro12 as good a comp...

It's out there, but is maybe not totally crazy-super rugby might be keen. They are on the lookout to expand.... https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/sport/rugby/further-super-rugby-expansion-inevitable-says-nzru-ceo Hard to see where they can go. They'll want America, but the states are trying to get the...
