Assuredly
Re: A whiff of Cordite
Kinsella wrongly states that Munster lost at the weekend. (corrected now).
Strange world where that happens so soon after JvGs interview.

That was tongue on cheek. NOw as to the bolded, if I'm understanding you correctly there can be debate but you can't be in favour of a certain approach? This doesn't seem reasonable to me.SoupyNorman wrote: ↑January 5th, 2022, 6:03 pm Hugh Cahill on the RTE podcast doesn't seem to have an ounce of common sense. Whether it about the Munster coaching setup for rest of season or happily gloating about seeking a six week booze up festival in London should his own authorities recommend restrictions that may impact feasibilityof hosting Six Nations game in Ireland and elsewhere.
(there can be a reasonable debate about right and wrong approaches to take, but his attitude was just selfish irresponsibility).
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

mmm... were talking about Hugh Cahill.... ( we always have to acknowledge that he's not of the same clan as Dave )...paddyor wrote: ↑January 11th, 2022, 3:02 amThat was tongue on cheek. I thought we might have got rid of him ( having stumbled upon him on BT sports) ... but alas it seems not... back spouting the same ' know nothing 'nonsense at the weekend ... thankfully I have the option to watch Premier sports , with 'Robbo' nonsense... but at least he has a modicum of Rugby knowledge

Yeah, people get beaten there, and the big games are in Lansdowne Road. Getting beaten there is burned into the psyche of many teams.Dexter wrote: ↑January 15th, 2022, 3:24 pm https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/rug ... 85744.html

Notable Munster.
It's totally burned into their psyche.

Schmidt (and Cheika to an extent) was opposed to over celebrating. Winning is your job and it happens when you do your job well.
From that perspective calling a match a miracle win is actually a little bit demeaning.

The reason why the circulation of the Examiner is 0 outside Munster..Dexter wrote: ↑January 15th, 2022, 3:24 pm https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/rug ... 85744.html

Odd article.
Our stadium has better memories than your stadium?

You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Wasnt so funny watching Underhill out cold after the Henshaw tackle. We were behind the goaline no more than 10 yards.
Not the type of comment a serious journalist should be making

But at the most basic level, wouldn't they be *more* likely to suffer injuries if it were the more physical league?

In poor taste alright. Both injuries potentially career ending with possible longterm negative health effects. If a UK journalist had made light of Leavy's knee smash, we'd be up in arms, and rightly so.Blue not red blood wrote: ↑January 24th, 2022, 1:13 pm Wasnt so funny watching Underhill out cold after the Henshaw tackle.
