OLSC LEINSTER LEGENDS
I always get excited when there is a new Legend tee coming and I like to speculate who might be deserving of it. If you think of the amount of players Leinster use in a season around 50 and the fact that there have only been 20 official OLSC Legends so far it really must be a cherished item/title for the recipient. The latest Legend is getting announced on Saturday who will it be?
Here are the list of Legends so far in order of caps earned.
1. Darce 257
2. Jamie 229
3. Dev 227*
4. Leo 219
5. Rob 206*
6. Jenno 205
7. Shaggy 203
8. Cian 203*
9. BOD 186
10. ISA 185
11. Mal 184
12. Girve 173
13. Johnny 156*
14. Luke 154
15. Reggie 136
16. Denis 126
17. SOB 123*
18. Dr Phil 116
19. Stan 94
20. Birch 91
* For those still playing with Leinster.
So in the current squad I think the guys who must be in consideration for the 21st Legend tee are...
Sean Cronin. Age 32, 168 Caps: He has been with us since 2011. He has bagged 39 tries for us. Could he be the first Munster born man to get the honour?
Tadhg Furlong. Age 26, 97 Caps: He has come up through the academy, made his debut in 2013,seems like he has been playing much longer he has become such an institution. Number of caps might work against him at present but two other front rowers Stan and Birch show you can get the accolade with less then 100 Leinster caps. On his day the best tight head in the world, It is bound to happen sooner then later.
Fergus McFadden. Age 32, 176 caps: Mr Leinster, never lacks heart, endeavour or application be it away to Zebre (he might have never played away to Zebre but it sounds good) or playing in a packed Lansdowne. He will always go full metal jacket at it. Injury ruined the business end of last season when he was in the form of his life, this season he has been out of sight again through injury but never out of the supporters minds, will it count against him? If not now then when?
Jack McGrath. Age 29, 142 Caps: The gentle giant of Leinster. Played second fiddle to Cian for a few years at the start of his career but always adding to the mix when he came on. Then he came into his own as first choice for a couple of years. His quiet friendly demeanour has always endeared him to fans. Will the latest news that he is not going to finish his career with Leinster effect his chances, it is certainly his last chance to become an OLSC Legend.
Rhys Ruddock. Age 28, 158 caps: First capped shortly after his 19th birthday. He has been around the first team squad for a decade and has been a big leader for the Leinster squad right from the start. He has had a couple of bad injuries when on good runs of form but he always bounces back and I am always happy to see him in the 23.

The t-shirts were already printed (probably) so Jack is in the mix.
You’d have to think Ferg followed by Cronin though.

Re: OLSC LEINSTER LEGENDS
Ferg would be my choice. That photograph from last year's Heino semi, where he goes to ground near touch- and sideline and three!!! Scarlets guys can't bundle him into touch - which led a couple of seconds later to a try for James Ryan if I remember correctly - is a visual testament to McFadden's unbelievable grit.
Re: OLSC LEINSTER LEGENDS
I'd pick em all.
But if I can only choose one then its gotta be Nugget.
Scored a try in a Heino final, a Challenge Cup final and in 3 Pro14 finals (at least).

Ferg shouldn't get a t-shirt, he should get head tape covered in blood.
Re: OLSC LEINSTER LEGENDS
100% Ferg.

It's a toss up between Ferg and the spirit animal that possesses him on matchday, for me.

I think he uses the t-shirt design as his social media profiler. Superb work from Dave and the OLSC!
