At 5 kicks per game the difference between an 80% kicker and a 90% kicker (good but standard vs elite) is 1 miss every 2 games.

ronk wrote: March 8th, 2021, 9:01 pm It’s so Ross Byrne to do that completely under the radar. He’s congenitally underrated.

Adam’s was such a fan of bad stats he premised the Restaurant at the End of the Universe on it.
Goal-kicking in general has become congenitally underrated!

Look how Saracens beat us:

02' - Pen | A. Goode
08' - Pen | A. Goode
10' - Pen | A. Goode
24' - Pen | E. Daly
27' - Pen | E. Daly

Leinster 3 - 15 Saracens before half an hour and they had barely broken a sweat. Basically 3 points and 90 seconds of recovery every 5 mins. Loads of gas in the tank for defending.
i've wiped that game from my memory
I haven't. The sinking feeling each time one of those penos was awarded/slotted was Lovecraftian in its inevitability......

Not as good as the Pro14 - here’s his stats for the past two seasons across Pro14, H-Cup and International

Thanks. Indicates progress from good kicker to elite.

Any views on why the drop-off in Heino games? Degree of difficulty, weather or pressure?

Was wondering that. Ideas:

Tryscorers have time to make the kick easier in Pro 14?
Less need to collect every point so kick to the corner more often to hope for a try

He's an improving kicker, hasn't had much of a chance to show that improvement in the Heino this year. That's probably the short n tall of it.

We score more tries/game in the Heino than we do in the Pro14.

He wasn’t due to start either game and was promoted at the last minute due to injuries. He hadn’t played for Leinster for 2 months beforehand.

Clear indication of the pecking order there.
Luke/Ross, JGP/Harry etc
Although it's open to interpretation, no doubt someone will provide an alternative one.

That’s the captain off to the side, as is proper.

This tread seems funny now. Highest points scorer in the 6N.
A lot of people touting him for the Lions 10 jersey.
