Porter in proper beast mode.
That move back to LH was absolute genius.

Tommy O’Brien has been very good since he came on. Has looked solid both sides of the ball.

he certainly had a game of two halves

That was fun. It was a toss-up for the first 20 minutes and I could see it being one of those games until they found the rest of the gears. Hansen is great to watch going forward but a lot of work to do on his defense.
I think the battle between the 10's shows why one is in the Ireland squad and the other isn't.

Really disappointing start, pretty much a carbon copy of last week except with slightly fewer mistakes. Some messy ball again but Luke really had a shocker. Once he pulled himself together around the half hour mark we were a lot better.
Thought Harry had a really good game. Had that one forced pass very early on but I thought the penalty he gave away was a poor call, seemed like the ref missed that the ball was out and he seemed to be onside. His kicks to touch were excellent and then his passing got better and better as the game went on. Lovely crossfield kick for Larmour too who should have done a lot better. Threw himself into things defensively too.
Sheehan is a freak, thought he played a big role in getting us on the front foot and ensuring cleaner ball, and his finish was ridiculous. Funny thing is, once he got the ball I fully expected him to finish it! Josh deservedly MOTM though, he was top class even when the rest of the team weren’t performing and kept it up for the 80.
The impact Porter has for a prop is quite incredible. I really can’t think of any other prop that has his combination of power and mobility.
Baird made some errors that I can excuse because he did a lot of good stuff and worked really hard, but it really frustrates me that he refuses to just dive on the ball at times. Not sure if he wants to run it out Ntamack style or what but it’s not the first time he’s done that and it’s one of the most fundamental things a player should be programmed to do.

No you’re not. Baird had a great game.

1st half was insane rugby, brilliant to both teams.
Connacht poked the bear though, and they got mauled.
Sheehan skining Hansen has to be the standout moment of the game.
Hansen is a really good player, he's gonna get capped by someone.

He absolutely wasn't having a great game at the time I posted that, or anything like it.
Had a great last 50 or so when things opened up and we started going forward.

Hey wixfjord! Why do you hate Baird so much?

I thought him and VDF were the only ones giving us any sort of go forward in that first 20 mins. I'll have to rewatch it again though and look for the things you've said here.wixfjord wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2021, 10:10 pmHe absolutely wasn't having a great game at the time I posted that, or anything like it.

If Porter and Furlong stay free of injury or suspension this season, anything is possible for this team.

Only if Luke is benching. His mistakes rob the team of continuity and scores.

Like the media reporting on what NPHET or Government are going to decide, before they actually decide it, you are frequently premature.wixfjord wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2021, 10:10 pmHe absolutely wasn't having a great game at the time I posted that, or anything like it.

Also thought Baird mixed in some mistakes, although was a good performance by the end.

Just re-watching now and that little shoving match between Ross and Carty was good fun. Looked like genuine spite!
Porter was incredible when he came on, and I hope we cap Hansen in the 6N.
