Would you not have a starting backrow of Doris, VDF, Conan. Harsh on Conan being on the bench. Ruddock on the bench.

Would have thought that both Porter and Sheehan would be back for this given they have over a month to recover.

Atl east for the second leg

This is a long way off and lots will change but I would favour a more mobile pack so Baird and Conan to start ahead of Molony and Ruds.

I think one way Connacht could snatch this is if we open up and play their game. We’ve a clear advantage in the pack and should use that as a weapon. Rhys in particular is a vital player imo.

I don't see that you lose all that much in the tight by playing Doris and Conan, and you gain quite a bit more in the loose.

I love Jack, but he’s not a patch on Rhys in the tight. Totally different players.

Am I right in thinking we want Clermont to beat Leicester in round of 16 so that we have home Q/F but that we have no chance of home S/F regardless of results to get there?

If we make the semi-final it'll definitely be played in Ireland. We'll either be "away" to one of Munster or Ulster or home to one of Exeter or Toulouse.

I would have been more excited but for some reason I thought the capacity was about 8,500 anyway
