That Fanzone is a great idea, exactly what's needed.
I've seen us doing more advertising for tickets on social media too, which is another positive step.

I find the writing off of Max O'Reilly based on 53 minutes in the first game of the season a bit knee jerk I must say.

The Guinness in the UK is shite no doubt about it. But the ale and craft game in Ireland is nowhere near as good as the UK or US, probably because of the monopoly Guinness basically has.the spoofer wrote: ↑October 5th, 2022, 8:08 am The Brits do that real ale sh!t because the don’t have proper Guinness.

Guinness in the UK depends I would say but in bars the UK is way ahead of us in terms of craft/ales. Thing were getting decent here but the choice has been knocked off the bar and we're back to standard offerings. Biggest thing to hit Ireland in the last year has been Moretti....another bog standard lager made by a multinational, just what we need!FLIP wrote: ↑October 5th, 2022, 9:31 amThe Guinness in the UK is shite no doubt about it. Completely, he's still a kid with lots to learn but he's a talented kid. Not sure anyone is writing him off though?

I'm not sure what you call that, but it's fairly negative around a guy who had a poor game in his last outing but has also hade some nice flashes in a blue jersey.

It is very acceptable but unfortunately not on sale in the new fan zone which is tough if you have to drive 50km home after every home game.Oldschool wrote:Had a couple of pints of Guinness non alcoholic.

He's getting criticism consistent with that, posters here are generally too equivocal to come out and directly write off a Leinster player.Flash Gordon wrote: ↑October 5th, 2022, 1:39 pmCompletely, he's still a kid with lots to learn but he's a talented kid. IIRC, Keenan got his share too early on. Not having a go at posters, I think specialist fullbacks come through slightly differently.

He certainly wasn't the only one who had a poor game that day. Clearly the lads have gone through the academy and have been picked for the first team so the coaches see something in them. Russell had a poor game vs Zebre for sure but one of the issues that made that happen was him over running passes. Luke Fitzgerald used to do that and it's absolutely coachable.wixfjord wrote: ↑October 5th, 2022, 1:46 pm-Flash Gordon wrote: ↑October 5th, 2022, 1:39 pmCompletely, he's still a kid with lots to learn but he's a talented kid. If Leinster can get a result against Sharks on Saturday, they could well retain their top of the table position right through to the Autumn International window. Connacht away on the 4G, followed by Munster in the Aviva and then a trip to Scarlets will complete their seven-game intro to the 18-game calendar.
This could be vital given the different focus our internationals will experience through November and then European games intermixed with Interpro derbies and then the 6N games, all against the backdrop of the 2023 RWC with Ireland being promoted by our media as having a big chance to make a big impact.
The international momentum and subsequent pressure from the turn of the year will be immense. This season it will be worse than ever because the URC fixtures will see our internationals (possibly barring J10) playing more games than previously and our Squad players will not be rotated as previously. Saturday is an important game for us.
