Hard to play flowing rugby with so many infringements

Didn't see conclusive evidence of head contact for that 1st red. TMO tried to veer the Munster ref away from that conclusion too.

Yeah Munster should cop themselves on and stop infringing so much against 13 men.

Munster kicked 25 times in the first half? Is this stat right?

Ah now, Munster ref is stretching it a bit.
Almost like trying to define Seán Cronin as a Munster player.

Munster’s Andrew Conway is on fire this year.

Thank god a Munster player finally scored a try.
The xenophobic fans would be out for blood. ;)

Massive credit has to go to Connacht for their display.
Despite being down to 13, they fronted up very well, and really put it up to Munster.

Aki was immense

On form both Aki and McCloskey are ahead of Henshaw IMO. Both the red cards were borderline and might not even have helped Munster much with a view to good preparation for next week. A 5-day turnaround will also be tough.

The 2 red cards helped Munster on the scoreboard, and meant that they could make a good few changes before the 60 min mark, but you are right, in terms of prep, it’s hard to see what Munster would have gained from that game.

Tbh, I think the semi is a forgone conclusion.
Leinster will win by a handsome margin.
If Leinster address their lineout and breakdown then Munster will not be in the contest.

Saying that, Leinster will have one eye on the HC, which may mean that players try to mind themselves so as not to get injured.
Additionally the lack of a game this week may be a bad thing for Leinster, but that is only really me clutching at straws.

Was gobsmacked that Toland and Morris spent a few minutes talking about Beirne's distribution when Munster butchered a big overlap outwide with Conway not passing after pretty shite handling and no fixing of men.

Based on the two TMO Reds, Cloethe should have joined them for his high, sswinging arm, late hit on Blade in the first half.

The interventions were warranted but the penalties were extreme and wrecked the contest. A shame.

Was a bit irritated that the referee kept referrring to many of Munster's star players by first name when advising them during play. Didn't seem to be doing the same for Connacht; except a couple of times for Bundee Aki (and calling over Quinn Roux as captain). Surely a referee should be consistent. Either ensure you are calling out the name of all 46 players across both squads or just call by colour and number.

Forgot to give a mention to Daly.
He had another very good game.

Fullback is not the easiest game to slot in, and he hasn’t looked out of place at all.
Hopefully he gets a good run of games there next season.
