ROG rules himself out by affirming loyalty while still sending love to the Munster fans and thereby not burning any bridges.
It's now effectively impossible for him to credibly leave La Rochelle for Munster.

While also giving himself 2 outs way down the road, burn-out and family. i.e. he's his eye on a national job.

Have a great time! What's the line down your way, M1? Oh yeah, I remember now: SUAF!!!!
Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
Haven't seen a team as devoid of attacking ideas as Castres in a long time.
They're literally waiting to be turned over once their attacking ball slows down.
Munster not doing a huge amount in attack at the moment either mind.

Munster win a great lineout, fake the drive and go to Hodnett who breaks a tackle and makes 7-8 yards.
Next play?
Murray box kick from inside his own half to just over half way line which Castres eventually win.
You're 9-0 up against a weak French side at home.
Why do that?!

I do not know, but there was never any intention to do anything but that. Bizarre.wixfjord wrote: ↑December 18th, 2021, 8:43 pm Munster win a great lineout, fake the drive and go to Hodnett who breaks a tackle and makes 7-8 yards.

Total slugfest of a 1st half. Castres look like they have no attacking ability what so ever.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

A very tedious 40 minutes of rugby.

That performance is a large pile of detritus.
Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
Munster's attacking play is laughable at times.

This game is more boring than golf. And not even the sunday night golf with the famous players, its more boring than the 11am on a tueday golf from the satellite tours that they show on sky sports mix

Incredible how the ref speaks to the Castre lads and ignores POMs shiteDave Cahill wrote: ↑December 18th, 2021, 9:32 pm This game is more boring than golf. That should be declared a 0-0 draw. A clear display of coaching cowardice.

Not even an all enveloping fog could have livened up that game.

Poor Bath.
Dreadful performance and game so don’t mean to pick on anyone but Murray really does look done at this stage.
The highlight was Hugh calling the Munster hooker Dermot Bannon.

Castres get a chance to win it and kick it out. As strong a signal that they didn't want to be there at all, at all, at all.

On the plus side, people can go home safe in the knowledge that they are going to be locked away from seeing two teams playing a game so fearful and devoid of any ambition whatsoever for a good while. Castres too - fight to get back into it, then kick the ball off.
Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
Did JVG just pull out the most JVG performance ever to mark his departure?
That was chronic.
No attacking plan, loads of kicking, relying on hard direct carries and defensive lineout/ruck efforts.
Murray/Healy/De Allende/Farrell is such a one dimensional 9-13.
