The ball had touched the try line when the scrum half moved it back. Hard to tell if it had touched before he started his run... But it was on the line

To me it didn't look like the ball touched the tryline until Kinghorn put his hands on it.
Look out Itchy, he's Irish

enby wrote: March 25th, 2023, 4:43 pm Jennings just made one of the best try "assists" imaginable. Tackles and strips the big no.8 about 15m from Connacht line and bogs it down to Edinburgh 22 where a couple of defenders make a hames of dealing with the ball. Jennings sprints up and turns it over leading to a Connacht try. Incredible stuff
The strip on Mata in full flight down the wing was pretty wow already, but then the kick upfield and the follow up to regain possession. Amazing! Only to be expected, I guess, if one's name is Shane Jennings!!!

I agree, ball was knocked over the line by Kinghorn, not that it particularly mattered really

That was an excellent result from Connacht. Not their best all-round performance of the season but some of their most effective attacking. Their 'bounce back' has been one of the highlights of this URC Season. If they can continue it for one more game, it should secure them a European Cup spot for next season, in addition to a URC play-off qualification. Two more wins and they'll be guaranteed their reward

Well done to Andy Friend and Pete Wilkins and their fellow coaches. But the majority of the credit goes to the Squad of players who have produced many magnificent displays. It looked unlikely two months ago but it now looks like all four Provinces should be in the final shake-up and not too many would fancy facing the boys from the west.

Muldoon is coming back to Connacht as forwards coach.

Good signing and along with Cordero signing and the potential of a European Cup spot for grabs it could be a good end to the season for the men in green.

Lovely KBA by Connacht, continuously passing and supporting the ball carrier, leads to second try. 0-12, 19 mins.

Marcus Watson in for his 2nd and Treviso's 5th try. One way traffic here. Connacht players' belief in a victory is gone. 33-12, 54 mins.

And that was all she wrote. Apart from the first ten mins, where they went 0-12 up, Connacht were outplayed in all departments.

And Connacht had beeen playing so well, 5 wins on the bounce in the League.
Benetton can really turn it on sometimes and blow teams away.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

It's been mentioned before but Connacht really need a mental skills coach to help them perform. Also like Munster the lack of leadership on the pitch is not good. I wonder how Leinster do it. Is it a case of mentoring or something else? For Munster as soon as you take Beirne and POM out of the team they are a different side. Same with Connacht with Marmion and Butler. That neither province are future building or thinking of contingencies is frightening.
