An Post are reported to be increasing prices by 10% in March.
The ECB's target rate of inflation is 2%.
Actual (as in reported) rate of inflation is less than 2%.
An Post have almost doubled the price of a stamp since 2013.
And there's more.
The cost of sending a parcel is calculated by the kg.
If you're parcel weights 1.1kg you get stiffed for 2kg.
In this day and age of high tech computerisation, surely calculating the weight of a parcel by 0.1kg increments is feasible. (That is if there is a desire to be fair and customer driven)
Once again Joe Taxpayer gets screwed.

Probably going up because private individuals generally don't and An Post can't charge Amazon any extra or they'll lose their business. Same result. The little guy gets screwed.
