Triskaidekaphobia is the morbid fear of the number 13
March Update from the OLSC

It's time to expand your vocabulary: The wait is over and the Official Leinster Supporter's Club is delighted to unveil the Brian O'Driscoll tribute T-shirt: 'Triskaidekaphobia'.

Triskaidekaphobia is the morbid fear of the number 13. A phenomenon that for one reason is found more commonly in professional rugby than in everyday life: quite simply, that reason is Brian O'Driscoll.

Throughout his professional career Brian O'Driscoll has been synonymous with the number 13. Whether it has been for the British and Irish Lions, Ireland or his home province of Leinster, Brian has inspired fear and respect in the opposition as one of the best centres in world rugby.

The T-shirt features the word Triskaidekaphobia in large print across the front and the number 13 on the back with an image of Brian's face behind it. As usual, the T-Shirt will be available in men's and ladies' sizes but for the first time children's sizes will also be on sale.

The T-shirt will be available for sale at the Munster match on April 12 but those who order via PayPal will not only be guaranteed their size will be in stock but they will receive their shirts first as they will be posted from March 31. To order your shirt in advance make a payment of 20 euro (adults) and 12 euro (children) for each shirt ordered via PayPal to:LeinsterSupportersClub@LeinsterRugby.ie. This includes P&P.

The shirts are available in the following sizes:

  • Men: XXL, XL, L, M, S
  • Ladies: L, M, S
  • Children: 12-13, 9-11, 7-8

Please be sure to indicate the size(s) required in your order.

The T-shirts will be priced at 15 euro (adults) and 10 euro (children) if bought in the RDS on April 12.

Jackman! T-Shirts

The last few remaining Jackman T-shirts will be on sale at the Glasgow Match on Good Friday. Look out for the tshirts at the programme booth at Gate D after the match in the RDS.

Paint it blue

Our next game in the RDS is probably the most anticipated home game for Leinster in the Magners League as we take on Munster on April 12 in our final interprovincial clash. In the league title run in this match assumes even greater importance and the OLSC is calling on every supporter to wear their colours to the match to make sure we paint the RDS blue.

If you have a Leinster flag from a match earlier in the season please make sure to bring it back to the RDS and fly it high. Turning the RDS blue will cement its reputation as a fortress and will certainly let the opposition know they are in enemy territory.

Llanelli bound

Following the success of our partnership with Aer Arann on the specially priced flight deal for OLSC members travelling to Leinster's match against Llanelli next week be sure to watch out for our travelling band on TV. You just might see something new... The OLSC have organised a bus transfer from Cardiff to Llanelli return for those travelling on the Aer Arann Supporters Club deal for 20 euro a head. There is some availability remaining on the coach for anyone travelling on the same flights but not with the Supporters Club (flight departs Dublin on Saturday at 8.25am and returns from Cardiff on Sunday at 20.45). Anyone interested should contact the OLSC by email at: leinstersupportersclub@leinsterrugby.ie. We hope to repeat this travel deal with Aer Arann before the end of the season.

Watch this space

The Club has been busy putting together a few things for the remainder of the season. Junior and Cub members should be sure not to miss out on the opportunity to meet some of their heroes at the fun morning with Wagamamas on Wednesday, March 26. Contact: leinsternews@leinsterrugby.ie to reserve a place. We also hope to have details of the re-arranged player interview very soon.

As ever, keep an eye on the website, the Leinster Lowdown, Friday's Evening Herald and match day programmes for further updates on the activities of your club.

If you want to contact the committee on any matter or have any suggestions or feedback please e-mail: LeinsterSupportersClub@LeinsterRugby.ie
